A concise, dated ledger of Infinity Ward's Early Access Beta updates and the MW4 database records they may affect.
Latest update: Monday, August 24
Infinity Ward adjusted multiple weapons to increase minimum time-to-kill, changed damage ranges and body multipliers, and continued evaluating weapon and attachment balance before the Open Beta. The active playlist list included Quick Play, Open Moshpit, Search and Destroy, Transit 213, Inflation and 3v3 Gunfight on Kill Block. The 10v10 Kill Block playlist was removed with a planned return during Weekend Two.
Bug fixes addressed an out-of-bounds exploit on Cachette, incorrect optic “Cons” for the Kastov 762, lobby music continuing in matches, repeated Gunny notifications and several interface issues. Artillery Beacon explosion audio was also adjusted for clarity.
Lotus joined the map rotation, Gunfight 3v3 arrived on Kill Block and Transit 24/7 was added. The update reduced the M4 head damage multiplier from 1.5 to 1.2 and changed several other weapons and attachments. Attack Helicopter health was reduced by 45%. Infinity Ward also said spawn placement, TTK and attachment viability remained active areas of work.

Cachette, Inflation and visibility changes
Cachette and the Inflation mode entered rotation, enabling map voting with four maps available. Transit 213 received brighter shadow areas and an overall color-balance adjustment. Weapon changes began addressing community feedback on lethality, while footstep volume was reduced and multiple bugs were fixed.
AUGUST 20–21
Early Access opening content
The opening slate listed Rooftops, Silkworm, Transit 213 and Kill Block, together with Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Mobility Course and Kill Block 10v10 Gunfight. The launch record also established the Early Access and Open Beta windows and identified known issues under investigation.
How patches affect this database
Beta screenshots remain useful evidence for what appeared in the captured build, but a later patch can supersede the balance values shown in them. The M4, attachment and killstreak pages therefore preserve their source labels and review dates instead of silently treating a newer patch as if it were visible in an older capture.
After each official update, the recheck order is: weapons and attachments named in the patch, affected loadouts, active playlists, maps and modes, then settings or interface records mentioned in bug fixes. Stable identity data such as a weapon name can remain valid even when damage or handling changes.
